Oceansouth Pilot and Cruiser Boat Cover – Grey / 8.0–8.5m MA 503-6G
Oceansouth Pilot and Cruiser Boat Cover – Grey / 8.0–8.5m
The Oceansouth Pilot and Cruiser Boat Cover – Grey / 8.0–8.5m protects a pilot or cruiser boat during storage and secured trailering.
About this product
The pilot/cruiser pattern is made from breathable, water-resistant 300 g/m² ATLAS marine fabric. Its resistance to UV exposure, mould and mildew makes it suitable for covering the boat during extended storage, including time in a boatyard, driveway or garage. The manufacturer lists colour-fastness to light at grade 6–7.
Double-lapped seams reinforce the fabric joins. Marine-grade tie-down fittings and Oceansouth cleats provide the fastening points that hold the cover around the boat. The trailerable design must be correctly fitted and securely fastened before road transport.
Rigid vents on the port and starboard sides encourage air circulation under the cover. The pilot/cruiser pattern accommodates the corresponding boat profile, with both the stated length range and maximum beam width defining its fit.
For road trailering, Oceansouth specifies taut tie-downs without overtightening and regular checks during the journey. Above 60km/h, it recommends two additional light ratchet straps over the bow, secured to opposite sides of the trailer; these straps are not included. Pad protruding fittings that contact the fabric to reduce rubbing and wear.
Oceansouth lists the fabric at UPF 50+ for UV protection and describes it as resistant to abrasion and tearing. The material is designed to retain its shape rather than stretch and sag over the boat.
