About this product
Each oar uses a 35mm marine-grade anodised aluminium shaft that separates into two sections for carrying and stowage. The pair is intended for rowing an inflatable dinghy, RIB or compatible small boat, with the selected overall length applying to each assembled oar.
The flat blades are UV-resistant polypropylene and measure 470mm long by 160mm wide. Polypropylene hand grips provide the handling surfaces at the other end of the shafts. The flat blade profile is designed for manoeuvring and propelling the boat during rowing.
A marine-grade nylon oarlock sleeve provides the boat-side connection. Its 11.25mm-diameter recess receives the boat’s existing oar pin; the pin itself is not included. This detail is important because the oars do not supply a complete new gunwale-mounted pivot system.
The split construction allows the oars to be packed in shorter sections between trips, then assembled for use. Two oars are supplied, not a single paddle or one replacement blade.
