This Oceansouth fixed-height socket pedestal lets a boat seat lift out of its deck-mounted base. This version is 450mm.
About this product
The seat top, shaft leg and low-profile base are supplied together as a removable pedestal assembly. The shaft lifts out of the socket when the seat is no longer required in that position, and the included round cap covers the exposed base. The pedestal can then be slotted back into place for use.
The 60mm-diameter shaft is anodised aluminium, with a UV-treated marine-grade nylon swivel top. Adjustable swivel tension lets the resistance to the seat’s 360-degree rotation be set to suit the installation. Oceansouth specifies compatibility with its boat seats and other suitable lightweight to medium-weight rated marine seats.
The 230mm cast-aluminium base has six anchor points and projects only 15mm above the deck. It is a recessed installation: the floor requires a 100mm-diameter opening with 76mm of depth below it. The stated pedestal height identifies this fixed-height version; the removable socket is not a telescopic height adjustment.
