About this product
Five internal shelves organise the supplied horizontal tackle boxes beneath the seating position. Each box has a clear hinged lid, so its contents can be identified without opening every container, and adjustable compartments allow fishing tackle to be separated within the box. The enclosed arrangement puts tackle storage into the space occupied by the seat base.
The housing is moulded from UV-treated marine-grade ABS plastic. A rigid hatch door closes against a 6mm rubber gasket, with a stainless-steel locking handle and clasp securing the opening. The white exterior has a subtle taper from the base towards the top and a smooth surface that can be wiped clean or hosed down.
A standard 7-inch metal swivel and stainless-steel mounting bolts are supplied for the seating connection. Twelve fastening points secure the base to the deck using the included stainless-steel self-tapping screws. Oceansouth supplies installation instructions with the box. The seat itself is not included.
The selected box height does not include the swivel, which adds 25mm above the housing. An Oceansouth aluminium locking swivel and slider can be used as an alternative seating arrangement but is sold separately. This listing is the five-tackle-box version, rather than the plain storage-hatch seat box.
Each of the five supplied tackle boxes measures 235mm × 185mm × 50mm and has twelve compartments with removable dividers. Two clip fasteners secure each clear hinged lid. The internal storage compartment measures 290mm high × 190mm wide × 280mm deep; its door is 375mm × 272mm × 15mm and projects 15mm from the mounting surface. Eight M4 stainless-steel screws secure the compartment. The seat box has a 440mm × 440mm base footprint.
