This 100m reel of blue-covered drum steering cable is intended for older cable-and-drum boat steering systems. It can also be used in compatible older trailer brake-cable systems.
About this product
The cable has a 6 × 7 galvanised wire construction, with a 3mm wire core beneath a blue PVC covering. Its finished outside diameter is 5mm, giving a covered cable rather than bare galvanised wire.
Supplied as a full reel, it provides continuous cable stock for the applicable system. This is traditional drum-system cable, not a modern push-pull steering cable with factory-fitted helm and engine ends.
