Rule 500 GPH 12V Angled Dual-Port Marine Livewell Pump with Removable Cartridge

Dual-port cartridge pump with 360-degree rotatable inlet base/outlet, glass-filled nylon pickup tube and spring-loaded removable motor cartridge. Additional plugged 1/2 inch threaded inlet supports optional deckwash pump. Straight and 90-degree hose barbs supplied. 12V only.

Choosing and using this product

Plan the complete water path from the intake to the tank and overflow before choosing a livewell pump. The inlet arrangement must suit the hull fitting or valve already fitted; straight, angled and threaded-valve models are different configurations. Check the space around the motor cartridge so it can be removed for servicing without disturbing nearby wiring or plumbing. Match the discharge hose to the listed barb size and avoid tight bends that restrict flow. The stated flow is a pump rating rather than a promise of delivery at every tank height: hose length, lift, fittings and the condition of the intake affect the installed result.

For a replacement, compare the existing product code and electrical supply as well as the advertised capacity. A larger flow number alone does not establish that a pump will fit an existing base or suit the tank. Arrange the wiring, circuit protection and switching to the manufacturer's installation instructions. Keep access to the inlet valve and make sure the tank's overflow can manage the intended water delivery. The optional deckwash connection does not mean a separate deckwash pump is included. After fitting, inspect all water connections, check the tank fills and overflows as intended, and confirm that the controls stop and start the pump correctly. Clean the intake and inspect the plumbing regularly, particularly after using the boat in weed or debris.
