Rule 360 GPH 12V Non-Automatic Marine Bilge Pump 24DA with 20mm Outlet

A compact electrically powered option for clearing water from a boat’s bilge, this Rule pump suits an installation with a separate control arrangement. Its non-automatic design lets the boat owner select the appropriate switching setup rather than relying on an integral water sensor. The listed voltage and hose connection distinguish this version from otherwise similar pumps.

Fully submersible next-generation pump with water-cooled ignition-protected motor, thermal cut-out, stainless steel shaft and snap-on strainer base. Low-current motor with EMC suppression and silicone-blocked 16-gauge tinned copper wiring. Threaded discharge port and hidden anti-airlock vents. Includes removable backflow check valve; using the valve reduces rated output. Requires a separate Rule float switch for automatic operation.

Choosing and using this product

A bilge pump is one part of a complete water-management installation. Consider the expected water ingress, the discharge height and the route out of the boat rather than choosing on the headline flow figure alone. Hose length, bends, fittings and vertical lift can reduce the amount of water delivered in service. Keep the inlet accessible so that accumulated dirt can be removed during routine checks.

Before replacing an existing pump, compare its electrical supply, discharge hose and mounting arrangement with this model. Allow space to detach the strainer and reach the wiring after installation. Have the circuit protection, cable sizing and discharge arrangement checked against the manufacturer’s instructions by a suitably qualified marine installer. A pump should not be relied on to compensate for a persistent leak or an undersized drainage system.

After installation, test the complete system with water and confirm that it discharges where intended. Check the hose connections, operation of any control switch and access for maintenance. Include the bilge area in regular boat inspections, particularly before a trip and after a period of storage. Keep a record of the exact model so that future replacement parts can be matched accurately.
