Vultail 1in Black Plastic Barbed Elbow Hose Joiner for Marine Plumbing RWB3009

Vultail 1in Black Plastic Barbed Elbow Hose Joiner for Marine Plumbing

This Vultail black plastic fitting joins two hoses of equal internal diameter through a elbow barbed connection. Each hose connection on this version is sized at 1 inch, allowing the fitting to be selected for a water-plumbing run using that hose size. Match every connected hose to the 1 inch size, checking the inside diameter rather than the outside of the hose. The elbow geometry determines how the hoses leave the joint. It should be chosen to suit the route and available space, with adequate clearance for the hose ends and their fastening points. The body material and connection layout make it a size-specific water fitting; they do not establish universal compatibility with every onboard hose, pump or pipe system. Compare the complete connection arrangement before choosing a replacement, especially where more than one nominal size or thread type is present.

Choosing and using this product

Use hose with the appropriate internal diameter and condition, seat it correctly on each barb, and choose fastening hardware for the assembled hose outside diameter. Leave access to tighten and inspect the hose connections. Lay out all two hose connections before fitting the joiner, and support the hoses so their weight and movement do not pull the joint out of alignment. Do not select a clamp from the hose inside diameter alone; the hose wall and the fitting underneath it determine the outside diameter at the joint. Avoid a hose route that creates a sharp bend beside the barb. Confirm any required working pressure, temperature limit and fluid suitability with the supplier before using the fitting in a demanding application. After assembly, inspect the connection for leakage using the procedure appropriate to the complete system, and retain access for routine checks.
