This lead extends an existing cigarette-style socket connection by three metres, making it useful when a compatible portable accessory needs to be positioned beyond its usual reach. A spotlight or work light can then be moved to a practical working position while remaining connected to the boat supply. Check the appliance voltage and load before using the extension.

The fitted Ultimate plug and non-corrosive socket provide the two connection ends, so selection centres on the available reach and the complete lead rating. Treat the stated 8A rating as the limit for the extension assembly, even if another component in the circuit has a higher individual rating. The supply socket, wiring and circuit protection also need to suit the intended equipment.

Plan the lead route before plugging in. As general use guidance, keep it clear of walkways, steering controls and places where doors or lockers could pinch the cable. Leave enough slack for the equipment to be handled without pulling on the socket, but avoid loose loops where people may step or catch a foot. Keep the connection points accessible for inspection during use.
