Choosing and using this product

This clear 88ml tube is the liquid penetrating version. Its application format differs from the thicker sealant cartridges, so choose it for the joint and application method required rather than simply matching the colour.

Use the penetrating form where a narrow joint is the intended application. Inspect the joint first so that the source of the leak or gap is understood. A liquid sealant should not be expected to repair a cracked fitting, a loose fastener or a structural defect that needs mechanical attention.

Check the current tube instructions for substrate compatibility, preparation and curing conditions before applying. Nearby plastics, coatings and previously applied sealants can influence adhesion. Test a small inconspicuous area where the finish is sensitive, and remove contamination by a method suitable for the actual materials.

Prepare the work area to control where the liquid travels. Protect adjacent finishes and keep the applicator directed at the intended joint. Apply only the amount recommended, allowing penetration as instructed rather than building an uncontrolled surface puddle. Avoid handling the joint in ways that disturb the treatment during its stated curing period.
