Stainless Marine Adjustable LED Bunk Reading Light, 12V 154 Lumens, RWB5838

An adjustable bunk light brings illumination to a reading position without requiring the whole cabin to be brightly lit. This fitting can be aimed towards a book or nearby task, then moved to suit a different seating position. Its finish should be chosen alongside existing cabin hardware, while the adjustable head makes mounting height and reach important practical details. Consider the normal position of the reader and the way bedding, cushions or a shelf will sit around the light, rather than choosing a location by appearance alone.

Choosing and using this product

Try the intended mounting position from the berth or seat before drilling. The beam should reach the page without casting a strong shadow from the reader’s head, and the switch should be easy to find without stretching. Check the full adjustment range against a bulkhead, shelf or headlining, allowing enough clearance that the light cannot strike nearby fittings. Keep the lamp away from bedding and loose items that could cover it. Use the actual fitting and its instructions to establish the fixing positions, and check that the mounting surface can support the light securely. Match the supply voltage to this exact version, as similar bunk lights do not all share the same electrical range. Route and protect the wiring behind the base, leaving access for future inspection. No exterior waterproof rating is established here, so use the light in a suitable protected cabin position. After fitting, aim the beam from the normal reading posture and check that it does not shine into an adjacent berth or reflect towards the helm.
