Red and White Marine LED Cabin Light, 12V/24V, Touch Switch and Dimmer

This cabin fitting combines ordinary white illumination, a red-light option and local brightness control in a single surface-mounted light. It is useful where the lighting needs change during an evening aboard, from brighter general use to a lower level near a berth or helm-adjacent area. The controls are on the light itself, so the mounting position should allow comfortable access as well as useful coverage. Its circular shape and diffusing lens provide an integrated cabin-lighting option without a separate wall-mounted dimmer being identified as necessary.

Choosing and using this product

Choose a position where the touch controls can be reached safely from the normal seating or standing position. Check that cupboards, shelves and other cabin features will not block the light or make the controls awkward to find in darkness. Consider the effect of each colour and brightness setting on nearby instrument screens and reflective surfaces. Red light can change the appearance of coloured markings, so retain suitable white illumination for tasks requiring accurate colour recognition. Use the specified electrical supply and follow the product wiring instructions, including appropriate circuit protection. Do not add an external dimmer on the assumption that it will work with the built-in electronics. Route the wiring so it remains protected and accessible after the light is mounted. No exterior ingress rating is stated here, so select an appropriate protected interior location. Test on/off, both colours and all brightness settings after installation, then adjust the surrounding lighting layout if glare reaches the helm.
