Plastimo Olympic Open 135 Replacement Sun Cover for Marine Boat Navigation SP672

Plastimo Olympic Open 135 Replacement Sun Cover for Marine Boat Navigation

The Plastimo Olympic Open 135 replacement sun cover is a model-specific accessory for looking after an existing compass installation. The complete compass is supplied with a protective cover; this listing makes the replacement cover available separately. It is useful when the original covering component is missing or needs replacement, or when adding the optional cover where listed. Ordering the separate part lets you address the cover or hood without selecting another complete compass. The compass itself and unrelated service components are separate products.

Choosing and using this product

Check the full model name on your compass before ordering. Plastimo offers several compass ranges with similar-looking protective parts, so a matching colour alone is not enough to establish fit. This part is listed for Olympic Open 135; use that compatibility information together with the supplier reference when comparing it with the existing installation. Olympic Open 135 is the model formerly called Horizon 135, which helps identify older compass labels. Inspect the existing cover or hood and the compass housing to establish which component requires attention. A damaged bowl, mounting bracket or light unit needs its own assessment rather than a replacement protective cover. Before fitting, follow the compass instructions and confirm any fixing or retaining components needed for the particular assembly. Avoid forcing a part that does not seat correctly. When preparing the boat for use, make sure the protective component is opened or removed as intended and the compass card can be read clearly from the steering position. Store removable covers where they can be found and refitted after use. If replacing a hood kit, check its movement and clearance after installation. Retain the product reference with your maintenance records so the same model-specific part can be identified again.
