Plastimo Offshore 75 Marine Compass Black/Black Conical Card Bracket Mount RWB8017

Plastimo Offshore 75 Marine Compass Black/Black Conical Card Bracket Mount

Black Offshore 75 compass for powerboats from 5 to 9 metres, with a black conical card and bracket mounting. The conical card supports front reading. This Plastimo steering compass combines the specified body and card colours with a defined mounting arrangement for the helm. The model number identifies a particular family rather than a universal replacement size. Choose the exact variant for the way the display will be viewed and the space available, then check its listed lighting, cover and compensation equipment when planning the installation.

Choosing and using this product

Choose the card style around the way you will actually view the compass at the helm. Compare the viewing angle, body colour and mounting arrangement with the existing installation rather than selecting only by the nominal model size. The apparent card diameter describes the display and should not be used as a mounting-hole measurement. Before cutting or drilling, obtain the correct installation template and check the complete footprint, depth and access beneath or behind the mounting surface. Trial the sight line from the normal steering position, keeping nearby fittings and equipment clear of the display. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for positioning away from magnetic interference and for any compensation procedure applicable to this model. Check the stated lighting voltage against the boat's circuit, and arrange a protected connection without placing strain on the leads. Where a cover or telescoping hood is supplied, leave space to use it and retain access for cleaning and inspection. Separately listed brackets, binnacles and spare parts should be checked against the exact compass model before purchase. Recheck the compass installation after changes to nearby electrical equipment or metal fittings.
