316 Stainless Marine Rod Holders, 30 Degree Port and Starboard Inclined Pair

The RWB299 set contains one port-inclined and one starboard-inclined rod holder. Each is made from polished 316-grade stainless steel with a slimline head and a shaft welded on an incline so the rod points away from the boat. The 30-degree shaft angle and handed arrangement make this pair useful to assess when planning matching fishing positions on opposite sides.

Choosing and using this product

Lay out the two holders in their intended port and starboard positions before marking the boat. Check the direction of the actual shaft rather than relying on the head shape alone. Put a rod in each holder to confirm that both rods point outboard as intended and leave useful space between their reels, tips and neighbouring equipment.

Inspect the clearance below each mounting surface along the full inclined shaft. The two sides of a boat may contain different wiring, hoses or structural details, even when the gunwales appear symmetrical. Check the complete 195mm length and the direction of the shaft before cutting. Use the actual holders to confirm the final hole positions and fastening pattern.

Choose suitable fasteners and backing for the boat construction and intended use. The published cut-out and head sizes are different measurements, so check both when replacing existing fittings. Confirm the rod butt fits the 40mm bore and seats correctly on the gimbal. After installation, check both holders for movement, rinse away salt and bait residue after use, and periodically inspect the welds and mounting points. Keep track of the handed orientation if either holder is removed for maintenance.
