28mm Cuffed Polyethylene Bilge Hose 15m Reel for Marine Plumbing - RWB1442

28mm Cuffed Polyethylene Bilge Hose 15m Reel. Black polyethylene cuffed hose is intended for bilge pump discharge lines. Its distinctive feature is a hose clamp cuff every foot, giving regular places to terminate and secure a run. This makes the hose useful when laying out several discharge sections from one reel, provided each section is measured with the cuff positions in mind. The reel format supplies a continuous length for workshop preparation or a larger plumbing job. The stated diameter is the internal hose size and should be matched to the pump outlet and discharge fitting.

Choosing and using this product

Start by checking the actual outlet diameter on the pump. The listed Rule models are a selection aid, but an existing adaptor can change the connection that the hose needs to fit. Measure the route between the pump and outlet, allowing for gentle bends and enough clearance to avoid rubbing against structure or equipment. Plan cut positions around the moulded cuffs so the hose ends can be clamped where intended. Check the outside diameter of the hose over the fitting when selecting clamps; internal diameter alone does not establish the required clamp size. Support the run so the pump outlet does not carry the weight of a long unsupported section. Keep connections accessible for checking and confirm that the hose is not pinched when lockers, lids or panels are closed. After installation, run the pump with water and inspect both ends and the discharge path. This is a discharge-hose choice. Before using any bilge hose in a different service, confirm that its construction and stated application suit that duty. Do not select a hose solely because it slides over an existing fitting; the application and route matter as well as diameter.
