20/25mm Straight Sink Waste Drain with Plug for Boat Installation - RWB5296

20/25mm Straight Sink Waste Drain with Plug. This Italian-made sink plug and waste drain combines non-corrosive plastic and stainless steel materials. The large hose tail suits both 20mm and 25mm hose, providing two connection options within the same fitting. It can also be used as a cockpit drain where the installation is suitable. The chosen outlet shape matters when space beneath a sink or drain opening is limited: a straight fitting and a 90-degree elbow route the hose differently, even though they serve the same basic drainage purpose.

Choosing and using this product

Check the sink or mounting opening and the available clearance before choosing the outlet shape. Measure the space beneath the fitting, including the bend that the hose will need to make. Match the hose to the appropriate section of the outlet and confirm that the joint can be clamped securely without forcing the hose. Plan a drainage route that avoids kinks, unsupported sections and points where stored items could crush the hose. For cockpit use, assess the full drainage arrangement and the discharge location in relation to the boat, rather than assuming a sink fitting is suitable in every position. Use the fitting and sealing method appropriate to the installation and obtain marine advice if changing a hull-related drain route. After fitting, test with water and inspect the sink or mounting seal and hose connection. Leave enough access to clean the drain and inspect the outlet. During maintenance, check for debris at the drain as well as restrictions farther along the hose. Recheck the connection after removing a sink, working on nearby plumbing or rearranging equipment that could place pressure on the drain hose.
