Outboard Motor Storage and Transport Trolley | Boat Parts & Accessories RWB3875
Outboard Motor Storage and Transport Trolley | Boat Parts & Accessories
Plated steel trolley with galvanised support arms, plastic caps, rubber grips and wooden motor board. Supplied as a kit.
A dedicated motor trolley gives a removed outboard a supported storage and handling position when it is being moved around a suitable workshop or storage area.
Choosing and using this product
Check both motor weight and the stated application range. The engine’s horsepower alone does not establish trolley suitability, particularly when comparing two-stroke and four-stroke motors. Include any equipment that stays attached to the motor when assessing the supported load, and follow the engine maker’s permitted storage orientation.
Assemble the trolley fully before placing the motor on it. Check the frame, support arms, wheel attachment and wooden board, then tighten assembly fasteners as instructed. Secure the motor clamps squarely against the board and verify that the load sits centrally. Have suitable lifting assistance available when transferring an outboard from the boat.
Use a firm, level route and move slowly, keeping control of the handle as the motor’s mass shifts. Small wheels can catch on steps, drains and uneven ground, so clear the path beforehand. Do not use the trolley as a lifting appliance, a road trailer or a means of carrying passengers.
Park the assembly in a stable location where it cannot be knocked over or obstruct a walkway. Remove loose fuel lines and other snagging items from the travel path. Periodically check the wooden board for splits and the frame for loose fasteners or corrosion, especially after saltwater exposure. Follow motor storage instructions before leaving an engine on the trolley for an extended period.
Keep the product identification with the boat’s maintenance records and check the installation after the first use. If the intended arrangement differs from the supplied instructions, resolve the compatibility question before putting the equipment into service.
