This low-profile kit provides a neat finish where electrical cables pass through a boat panel. Suggested applications include a transom cable entry for a fish finder transducer or an instrument-panel opening carrying lighting wiring. The nylon snap bushing has a separate practical role at the hole edge, helping protect the cable jacket where it passes through the material.

Before ordering, measure both the drilled hole and the cable bundle. The maximum covered hole size and the cable opening describe different parts of the fit, so check each against the installation. Also allow room for the cover footprint and the spacing of its mounting holes. The colour choice can be coordinated with nearby trim, fittings or the panel surface to give the cable entry a deliberate, tidy appearance.

For installation, choose a route that avoids a tight bend at the outlet and leaves enough cable for any necessary service movement. Check behind the mounting surface before drilling, and remove sharp edges around the cable entry. Fit the bushing so the cable is supported at the opening, then arrange the cover without pinching the insulation. Secure the cable nearby so movement in the longer run does not pull against the entry point.

As part of regular maintenance, inspect the cable jacket at the outlet and make sure the cover remains secure. On a transom, include this check when inspecting transducer wiring and nearby fittings. At an instrument panel, keep the cable route identifiable for future servicing. For any penetration requiring sealing, select an installation method appropriate to the location and the boat's construction, following the relevant equipment and fitting instructions.
