No.7 16-19mm Black Tapered Rubber Sealing Bung Each for Marine Use - RWB3975

No.7 16-19mm Black Tapered Rubber Sealing Bung Each. This black tapered rubber bung is a simple push-in sealing component for a suitably sized opening. Its numbered size identifies the selected version, while the taper determines the range of diameters along the bung. The quantity for this listing is stated in the product name and details below. A tapered bung needs to be assessed against the actual opening and intended use; its size number alone does not establish compatibility with a threaded drain body or another specialised fitting.

Choosing and using this product

Measure the opening before choosing the bung and check that the surrounding surface allows it to seat properly. The narrow and wide ends of a taper describe the bung's shape, so consider how far it will enter and whether there is enough material left accessible for removal. Do not force an unsuitable bung into an opening or assume that a tighter fit automatically makes it suitable for a pressurised application. Confirm the fluid, temperature and duty requirements where these matter, since those ratings are not specified here. Keep the contact surfaces clean and check the fit in a controlled setting before relying on the closure during use. If the opening belongs to a boat's hull or a critical drainage arrangement, follow appropriate marine guidance and ensure the closure is suitable for that purpose. Inspect the bung for cuts, deformation or other damage during maintenance. Store spare bungs where they can be found and identified without confusing different numbered sizes. Check the quantity when comparing listings: a retail pair contains two bungs, whereas an individual listing contains one. Recheck the fit after cleaning, removing or replacing the bung, and keep access available for future removal.
