  • Voltage: 12V
  • Current: 1.5A
  • Adjustable arm: 180-280mm
  • Blade length: 280mm

  • Switch is not waterproof, for enclosed pleasure boats only
  • Shaft: 80mm long x 9mm diameter

This complete set brings the main wiping components together for a small pleasure-boat windscreen. The adjustable arm allows the blade position to be set to suit the distance between the motor shaft and the area of glass you want to clear. Self-parking gives the blade a defined resting position, helping keep the helm view clear when wiping is switched off.

For a replacement installation, compare the shaft dimensions with the existing mounting arrangement before ordering. Allow for the thickness of the windscreen surround and the space needed behind it for the motor. The blade should remain on the glass throughout its travel, with clearance from frames, opening-window catches and nearby fittings. A useful planning step is to mark the proposed sweep on the glass before committing to a mounting position.

For general installation, isolate the electrical supply and follow the motor wiring instructions, including the requirements for circuit protection. Arrange wiring so it is supported and can be inspected later. Set the arm position with reference to the parked motor position, then check the full sweep on wet glass before using the boat.

Routine care should include rinsing salt and dirt from the blade and windscreen, checking the rubber wiping edge for damage and making sure the arm remains secure. If wiping becomes uneven, inspect the blade and glass before changing the arm adjustment. Choose the mounting location around the specific cover and switch arrangement of this model, as well as the available space at the helm.

The integral on/off switch is on the motor itself, so plan a position where it can be reached comfortably from the helm. Its enclosed-boat application makes shelter for the switch an essential part of selecting the installation location.
