Osculati 40mm Raw Water Intake Strainer 300L/min. This Italian-made Osculati raw-water intake strainer has a black ABS plastic body, clear cover and nylon filter element. It is designed to strain particles from an engine water-intake line and can be disassembled for cleaning. The clear cover assists visual inspection without immediately opening the housing. Female threaded intake and outlet ports provide the connections. The selected model's port size, stated flow capacity and overall dimensions are important for matching the strainer to the intended engine cooling installation.

Compare the strainer specification with the engine manufacturer's water-supply requirements before installation. Choose a location that allows the cover and filter element to be removed for cleaning, and follow the engine and strainer installation guidance for positioning and support. Keep the intake route free of avoidable restrictions and ensure surrounding plumbing does not put strain on the housing. When opening an installed raw-water system, isolate it safely and follow the boat's procedures for controlling water ingress.
