It is useful when the helm position or cable route places the controls beyond the length of the original connection. The purpose-made extension has connectors at each end, allowing the installation to be planned around the correct searchlight system rather than improvised from an unspecified general cable. Select the length after measuring the route through the boat, because a straight-line distance between the light and helm can underestimate the wiring needed.

Choosing and using this product

Follow the intended cable path around bulkheads, bends and existing equipment, and include room to connect and service each end without pulling on the plugs. Check access through every opening before feeding the harness, as the connectors may require more clearance than the cable itself.
