Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Boat Rod and Game Pole Holder, Removable Mount

The RWB1317 combines a heavy-duty stainless-steel rod and game-pole holder with a removable mounting arrangement. The mirror-polished holder can be taken out of its mounting bracket when it is not required, helping you configure the fishing area for the day. Its tube has a 45mm inside diameter and is supplied with a soft rubber insert and gimbal for a compatible rod butt.

Choosing and using this product

This model suits a layout where you want a dedicated holder during fishing and the option to remove it afterwards. Check the space needed to withdraw the holder from its bracket, as well as the clearance needed to lift a rod out. A canopy, seat back or nearby rail can affect those movements even if the bracket itself fits the available surface.

Before installation, trial-position the bracket and holder together with the intended rod. Check reel clearance, rod-tip direction and access around the cockpit. Select suitable fasteners and backing for the mounting surface with advice from a competent installer where necessary. The published 45mm measurement describes the tube bore, so use the actual bracket to establish its footprint and hole locations.

After refitting the removable holder, check that it is fully seated and secured in its bracket before placing a rod in it. Keep the bracket interface clear of sand, dried salt and bait residue so the parts can engage properly. Store the removed holder where it cannot roll around or damage other equipment.

Before each trip, check that the holder and its mounting remain secure, and inspect the contact surfaces for wear or trapped grit. Rinse salt and bait residue away with fresh water after use, then allow the fitting to dry. A separate rod tether is worth considering where losing a rod would be costly; keep any tether clear of controls and walkways. Match the rod butt to the holder rather than forcing a tight handle into the opening.
