Foot operation allows the anchor winch control to be located on deck near the working area. Choose a position that permits a stable stance and a clear view of the anchor handling operation, keeping the operator clear of moving chain and rope. The hinged cap helps protect the switch and reduce unintended operation when closed. Plan around both the 120mm cap diameter and the separate 64mm mounting hole, with sufficient access beneath the deck.

Deck-mounted foot switch for anchor winches or other high-current applications. Hinged plastic sealing cap protects the switch and helps prevent accidental operation.

  • Above-deck cap diameter: 120mm
  • Mounting hole diameter: 64mm
  • Rating: 200A
  • Voltage: 12V or 24V

Before selecting a deck location, consider how the operator will approach the switch and where the foot will rest during use. Leave space for the hinged cap to open fully and check that nearby fittings do not obstruct deliberate operation. Examine the underside of the proposed mounting area for structural members, cables and other services before preparing the hole.

Have the winch's electrical arrangement and actual current requirements checked against the switch rating. Use the winch manufacturer's wiring guidance and a suitably qualified marine electrical installer where necessary. Cable size, circuit protection and connection layout should be selected for the complete installation. Support the wiring beneath the deck so movement is not transferred to the terminals.

After installation, test the intended function in controlled conditions with people clear of the moving anchor equipment. Explain the control location and operating procedure to anyone assisting aboard. During routine checks, inspect the cap, mounting and operation, and investigate damage or unreliable switching before continued use. Close the protective cap when the switch is not being operated.

Keep the product identification and relevant operating instructions with the boat’s records so they are available when maintenance or a future replacement is needed.
