Marine Cigarette Socket and USB Charger Panel - 12V, 81 x 62mm RWB5842
Splashproof black aluminium panel with one cigarette lighter socket and one USB charger socket, each with a rubber cover.
- Voltage: 12V only
- Panel size: 81 x 62mm
This compact panel combines two useful accessory connection formats in one mounting location. The cigarette lighter socket can serve suitable plug-in 12V equipment, while the USB charger socket provides a charging point for compatible devices. Having both on the same panel is practical when planning a helm or cabin area used for several different portable accessories.
The black aluminium face measures 81 x 62mm, making its footprint a useful starting point when checking an available section of dash or bulkhead. Allow additional space for inserted plugs, cable bends and the opening movement of both rubber covers. Check the rear of the proposed mounting location for body clearance, wiring access and any existing equipment before fitting.
Choose the location around how the equipment will be handled. A charging lead should reach a secure resting place for the device without crossing steering controls or a walkway. A portable appliance lead likewise needs enough room to connect without pulling sideways on the socket. The panel is specified for 12V only, so confirm the intended supply before installation.
As general electrical guidance, isolate the power, follow the connection instructions and use suitable cable sizing and circuit protection. Check the individual accessory requirements and the product ratings when deciding what to connect. Support the wiring behind the panel and keep joints accessible for inspection or later servicing.
Close the rubber covers when the sockets are unused to make use of the splashproof arrangement. After installation, check the connections and cover movement before normal use. Routine care includes removing surface dirt, inspecting the covers and checking that the panel remains secure, with particular attention to leads and plugs that are connected and removed frequently.
Plan which socket will be used most often so its cover and plug remain easy to reach.
