Bronze 1in BSP Full-Bore Ball Valve with Stainless Handle for Marine Plumbing

This 1 inch marine ball valve provides a manually operated connection point for controlling flow in a compatible onboard plumbing system. It has a bronze body with a stainless steel ball, spindle and handle, together with PTFE gland packing and seals. The ports are full-bore, parallel female BSP threads, allowing the valve to be selected against the male threaded fittings in the installation. The nominal size is listed as 1 inch, with a 25mm size designation. These are connection references rather than measurements of the valve body or handle clearance. The full-bore construction describes the flow passage through the valve; the performance of the complete system still depends on the connected hose, fittings and installation.

Choosing and using this product

Check both adjoining components for the correct 1 inch BSP connection before ordering. Confirm thread form, sealing method and the materials used throughout the assembly with the equipment or fitting supplier. Lay out the valve so the handle can travel through its full operating movement without contacting a bulkhead, hose or nearby equipment. Keep the handle and connections accessible for inspection, operation and later replacement. Support the surrounding pipework or hose so its weight and movement are not carried through an unsupported valve connection. Do not infer a working pressure, temperature limit or fluid approval from the body material or nominal size alone; obtain those limits if the proposed service depends on them. A valve fitted to a hull inlet also needs a suitable through-hull arrangement and installation assessment. After assembly, check the joints for leakage and verify that the handle can be operated comfortably in the installed position. Follow the requirements of the complete water system when testing or servicing it.
