Brass Three-Way Fuel Selector Valve - 1/4-Inch NPT (RWB1198) is a replacement or installation option for the matching marine system. Forged brass valve for selecting fuel supply.

Choosing and using this product

Use this selector valve where a compatible fuel installation needs to choose between two tank supplies, such as a main and reserve tank. Plan the arrangement using the valve’s port information and the engine system requirements. A three-way selector should not be assumed to provide an automatic transfer function or a separate shut-off position unless the supplied instructions explicitly confirm that operation.

Check the receiving threads and the hose connections before ordering additional fittings. All three ports have the same listed female NPT size, while the hose tails must separately match the fuel hose inside diameter. Thread type matters as well as nominal size. Select fittings suited to the fuel and installation, and follow the instructions for any thread sealant rather than allowing loose material to enter the passages.

Mount the valve where it can be operated deliberately and inspected without straining the hoses. Identify which position selects each tank and make the operating arrangement clear to anyone using the boat. Allow space for the hoses to turn naturally and support them so movement does not load the valve body. Check that the selected mounting position is appropriate for the overall fuel-system design.

Installation should be carried out with the engine stopped, ignition sources removed and suitable containment for fuel. After connecting the system, verify the intended selection and inspect every disturbed joint for leakage before operation. Follow the engine and tank instructions for priming after switching or servicing. If the fuel supply behaves unexpectedly, stop and inspect the routing and valve position rather than repeatedly operating the engine without a confirmed supply.
