The blue version of this flexible strip provides a way to add low-profile lighting along an onboard edge, step or other suitable surface. Its 1m supplied length gives a clear starting point for laying out the run before any cutting is considered. The flexible format is useful where a straight, rigid fitting would be awkward, but the route still needs to be planned around the power lead, corners and the surface available for adhesion.

Choosing and using this product

Dry-fit the route before removing the backing, and check that the strip will not be rubbed by footwear, locker lids or equipment. The mounting surface should be suitable for the adhesive and prepared according to the installation instructions. Allow the supplied lead to reach a protected electrical connection without placing tension on the strip. If shortening is necessary, use only the marked cutting positions; the removed section cannot be rewired for another installation. Plan all cuts before making the first one so the powered section remains useful for the intended route. The waterproof rating does not make this strip suitable for underwater operation, and any cut end or electrical join needs treatment in accordance with the product instructions. Avoid placing it where the LEDs shine directly into the helmsman’s eyes or reflect strongly from glass. Confirm the supply and circuit arrangement, then test the lighting effect before completing permanent attachment along the whole run.
