Adjustable ABS Marine Rod Holder with Ratchet Positioning and Side Mount

The Eastern RWB2190 is a black ABS plastic rod holder with ratchet-style adjustment both up and down and from side to side. It comes complete with a side-mount bracket, so you can select the rod position around the available fishing space. A recess accommodates the reel and a clip locks the rod into the holder. The holder is removable when it is not in use.

Choosing and using this product

Check the holder with the rod and reel you intend to use, paying particular attention to the reel recess and the retaining clip. Confirm that the clip can close correctly without forcing the reel or handle. Leave enough room to release the clip and lift out the rod, including when another person is standing beside the fishing position.

For a side-mounted installation, choose a sound surface and establish suitable support and fasteners for the boat construction. Trial-position the bracket before drilling, checking both the highest and lowest useful rod angles. Ratchet adjustment is most useful when the controls remain easy to reach. Set and secure the angle with the rod unloaded, and check that the teeth are properly engaged before fishing.

If a rail position is more suitable, the optional RWB2192 adaptor works with the standard side-mount socket. For a flush-deck position, select the separate RWB2193 socket. Neither accessory is included with this side-mount version. Check the removable holder is fully seated whenever you refit it, and keep sand or dried salt out of the socket and ratchet areas. Rinse after use and inspect the retaining clip for damage before the next trip.

Check the socket and clip again whenever the removable holder is returned to its mount.
