A stainless steel housing gives this green underwater light a different construction choice from the polymer models in the range. The additional optical lens forms part of the light assembly, while the supplied driver and cable need to be accommodated in the installation. It is a surface-mount fitting for a planned underwater lighting system, with colour, available transom space and the cable route all worth checking together.

Choosing and using this product

Water cooling is essential for this model, so do not use it as an above-water cockpit lamp or leave it illuminated while the boat is out of the water. Choose a position that stays submerged during intended operation and does not conflict with the outboard, trim tabs, boarding ladder or other fittings. Check access behind the proposed mounting area before committing to a location, including room for the cable and any supplied driver. The housing dimensions describe the light; they are not a drill template or a hull cut-out specification. Use the actual fitting and its installation instructions for marking and sealing. Keep cable joints protected from water and provide suitable circuit protection and switching for the installation. A competent marine installer should determine the fixing and sealing method for the hull construction. Once fitted, include the lamp, cable entry and fastenings in routine inspections, and assess the lighting effect under the water conditions in which the boat will normally be used.
