AAA Blue Marine Underwater LED Light, 12V 2.4W Polymer, 85mm x 40mm, RWB7801

The blue version provides a compact lighting option for a smaller boat, with an encapsulated light unit that can also be used around a cockpit or companionway. Its supplied mounting block is particularly useful when you want to lead the cable up the transom instead of taking it directly through an underwater cable-entry hole.

Choosing and using this product

Lay out the light position and cable route before drilling. If using the mounting block to take the cable upwards, check the entire route for snagging, abrasion and interference with the outboard, boarding ladder or other transom hardware. A route above the waterline still needs secure cable support and a properly sealed entry into the boat. Compare the mounting face with the actual available surface, allowing room to reach the fixings rather than checking the light body alone. For cockpit or companionway use, aim the light at the area being illuminated and assess glare from normal seated and standing positions. The waterproof light housing does not make exposed cable joins waterproof, so plan protected connections and a suitable switched, fused circuit. Have underwater penetrations and their sealing assessed by a competent marine installer. After installation, inspect the cable path and mounting arrangement as part of routine checks, particularly around moving equipment and any point that receives spray or impact. If retrofitting an existing installation, compare the fixing positions and cable condition before reusing old holes; a matching face size alone does not establish compatibility.
