Plastimo Olympic Open 135 Marine Compass Black/Red Flat Card Flush Mount RWB8091

Plastimo Olympic Open 135 Marine Compass Black/Red Flat Card Flush Mount

Traditional solidly built compass for powerboats and sailboats over 9 metres, with a black exterior and red flat card. This Plastimo sailing-compass variant is intended for the stated mounting arrangement at the helm. Its body colour, card colour and card style distinguish it from other products in the Olympic range. Check those details together when matching an existing pedestal or planning a new layout, and keep the complete compass specification separate from optional binnacles, covers and installation kits. This model was previously called Horizon 135 in the range.

Choosing and using this product

Plan the installation around the normal steering position and the available pedestal or mounting surface. Confirm the exact mounting style, card colour and body colour before ordering, especially when replacing a compass that looks similar. Compare the complete footprint and clearance with the current Plastimo installation template; the stated card diameter is not a mounting-hole measurement. Check that the display can be read from the positions you use while sailing and that nearby controls or fittings do not block the sight line. Where a binnacle or a separate mounting kit is needed, verify its compatibility with this precise model and keep separately sold accessories distinct from the supplied compass. Follow the manufacturer's directions for mounting, sealing and placement away from magnetic interference. Check the lighting specification against the boat's circuit before making connections. Leave access for inspection, cleaning and any permitted compensation procedure. Confirm the balance information for the exact model when the boat will be used in another region. Keep the protective cover or hood usable after installation and inspect the assembly after changes to equipment or metal fittings near the helm.
