Plastimo Offshore 105 Black Bracket Mount Kit for Marine Boat Navigation SP647

Plastimo Offshore 105 Black Bracket Mount Kit for Marine Boat Navigation

The Plastimo Offshore 105 black bracket mount kit provides the optional bracket arrangement for a compatible Offshore 105 compass. This compass range is supplied in flush-mount form, with the separate bracket kit offered when bracket mounting is preferred. Selecting the kit for the exact compass family is important because the Offshore 105 and Offshore 135 are different sizes. This black version also lets you match the visible mounting hardware to the compass exterior. The kit is a mounting accessory, so the compass itself is purchased separately. It is useful when planning an alternative installation or replacing the bracket arrangement on an existing compatible instrument.

Choosing and using this product

Identify the compass by its full model name before ordering, then check both the mounting style and the desired colour. The Offshore 105 family has a 91mm apparent card diameter, but that measurement describes the compass display and should not be treated as a bracket size or fixing pattern. Consider where the compass will be read from the normal steering position, how the housing will clear nearby controls, and whether the supporting surface will allow the correct installation. Check the manufacturer’s fitting instructions and the actual components before drilling or modifying an existing panel. The bracket option changes how the compass is supported; it does not change the card type, lighting supply or balance of the separate instrument. If you are retaining an existing compass, inspect its housing and mounting interfaces so a bracket replacement addresses the part that needs attention. Confirm the supplied fixing components and any additional fasteners required for your boat before starting work. After fitting, check the complete installation for secure support, a clear view of the card and suitable compass alignment. Keep the kit reference with the compass details for future maintenance.
