Plastimo Offshore 55 Marine Powerboat Steering Compass White Bracket RWB8107 RWB8107
Plastimo Offshore 55 Marine Powerboat Steering Compass White Bracket RWB8107
White bracket-mounted compass for powerboats up to 6 metres. The stable base absorbs vibration and adjusts through 90 degrees for horizontal, vertical or inclined surfaces. The Offshore 55 brings a compact front-reading compass format to a small craft. Its integral bracket is an important part of the product, so selection should consider the complete mounting arrangement as well as the card size. Match the exact version to the intended craft and location, including any supplied restraint components and separately available accessories.
Choosing and using this product
Start by checking the normal viewing position and the space available for the bracket. A compact compass can fit into a small installation, but it still needs a readable sight line and a mounting surface suited to the intended use. Position it where nearby controls, equipment or carried gear will not obstruct the card. Trial the location before committing to fastenings, and follow Plastimo's mounting directions when setting the bracket angle. Keep magnets, speakers and other potential sources of magnetic interference away from the chosen position. Compare the exact mounting arrangement and supplied parts rather than treating every Offshore 55 as the same version. If lighting or compensation is required, check the separately listed accessories and their suitability for this model before ordering. An optional accessory is not automatically included with the compass. Leave enough access to inspect the mounting and make any permitted adjustments. Check the installation and viewing position after changes to equipment carried nearby. Clean and protect the viewing surfaces according to the manufacturer's instructions, and inspect the bracket and any restraint components as part of normal boat or kayak preparation.
