This LED bayonet bulb is intended as a replacement in a compatible conventional interior light fitting. The position of the retaining pins is an important selection detail: a parallel-pin and a staggered-pin bayonet are not interchangeable simply because their base diameters look similar. Choosing and using this product

Isolate the supply and allow the old bulb to cool before removing it. Check the fitting’s rated voltage, the pin arrangement and the available room under its lens or shade. The complete bulb length matters as well as the base diameter, particularly in compact fittings where the replacement may sit close to a diffuser. Inspect the socket for corrosion, looseness or heat damage before fitting the new bulb; changing the bulb alone will not correct a damaged connection. Do not force a mismatched bayonet into place or alter the pins to make it fit. The light is described for interior fittings, so do not assume that it is an approved substitute for a navigation-light bulb or that it preserves another fitting’s certification. Likewise, compatibility with an existing dimmer is not established by the LED description. Refit the lens securely, restore power and check the light distribution.
