Synthetic Chamois in Storage Container - 660 x 430mm | Marine Boat Maintenance RWB5376
Synthetic Chamois in Storage Container - 660 x 430mm | Marine Boat Maintenance
Absorbent synthetic chamois cloth supplied in a plastic storage container.
Choosing and using this product
The cloth is supplied with its own plastic storage container for keeping the drying accessory together between uses.
Use the chamois after washing and rinsing the surface so loose salt and grit have been removed. Drying a dirty surface can carry abrasive particles across the finish. Inspect the cloth before starting and keep a separate cloth for heavily soiled fittings or areas that could contaminate a clean drying cloth.
Work across manageable sections and wring the cloth as required to keep absorbing water effectively. The stated dimensions provide a useful reference when deciding whether to fold it for smaller areas or open it for broader panels. Avoid dragging it across sharp edges or protruding fasteners that could damage the material.
Follow the chamois care instructions for preparation before first use and for cleaning after use. Different synthetic cloth materials can require particular storage conditions, so do not assume the same treatment used for a natural leather chamois is appropriate. Keep cleaning chemicals within the product's care recommendations.
The supplied container keeps the cloth together in the cleaning kit and helps prevent contact with other tools. Before putting it away, make sure the cloth and container are free of grit and unwanted chemical residue. Store according to the care directions rather than sealing a dirty cloth away after a job.
Inspect the cloth regularly and remove it from finish-sensitive work if it becomes contaminated or damaged. A clean drying cloth can also make it easier to spot remaining water marks or areas that need another rinse. When cleaning around windows, deck hardware or polished finishes, check the relevant surface care guidance and use light, controlled handling rather than rubbing hard at persistent deposits.
