Adjustable Webbing Fuel Filter Wrench | Boat Parts for Repairs and Maintenance

Adjustable Webbing Fuel Filter Wrench (RWB5389) is a replacement or installation option for the matching marine system. Adjustable strap wrench for Easterner clear-bowl filters and other compatible filters.

Choosing and using this product

This tool is intended to help remove compatible fuel filter bowls and elements where a strap can grip the outside of the component. Before starting, check that the strap can wrap around the part and that there is enough working room to operate the handle. The adjustment accommodates different sizes, but access around the installed filter is just as important as the diameter of the component itself.

Identify the part to be removed and follow the filter manufacturer’s service instructions. Support the assembly as required so the removal force does not twist the mounting bracket or connected hoses. Position the webbing on a sound gripping area rather than over a drain fitting, projecting connection or damaged surface. A stubborn component may indicate an installation or sealing problem that needs attention before a replacement is fitted.

Fuel-system work should be done with the engine stopped and ignition sources removed. Prepare suitable containment before loosening a bowl or element and keep dirt out of exposed connections. The wrench provides a way to grip the outside of the filter; it does not replace the correct draining, depressurising or priming procedure for the installed system. Consult the instructions supplied with the filter if the sequence is uncertain.

When fitting the replacement component, follow the specified tightening method rather than assuming that a removal wrench should be used to apply extra force. Inspect the retained head and sealing surfaces and check for leaks after priming. Clean the tool after use and inspect the webbing for wear before the next service. Keep the replacement filter reference with the boat’s maintenance record so the correct service parts are ready when needed.
