Brass Fuel Hose Tail - 3/8-Inch NPT to 8mm (RWB1204) is a replacement or installation option for the matching marine system. Brass threaded fuel hose adaptor.

Choosing and using this product

Choose the adaptor by both thread specification and hose inside diameter. These are separate measurements: the nominal pipe thread does not describe the diameter of the hose barb. Compare the receiving port with the listed NPT thread and measure the hose to ensure the correct barb size. Do not substitute a visually similar BSP fitting or force a mismatched thread into a fuel tank, valve or filter head.

Plan the hose run before fitting the tail. There should be enough room to seat the hose fully and secure it with a clamp suitable for the hose and fuel service. Avoid placing a tight bend immediately against the barb, and support the hose so its weight and movement do not load the threaded connection. Check access for later inspection before choosing the final orientation of the assembly.

Follow the receiving component’s instructions for installation, including any permitted thread sealant and tightening method. Keep loose sealing material away from the fuel passage. The adaptor joins compatible components; it does not alter the fuel rating, flow requirements or installation limits of the hose, valve or filter connected to it. Review those requirements as a complete system rather than judging the adaptor in isolation.

Carry out the work with the engine stopped and ignition sources removed, using appropriate ventilation and containment for fuel. After assembly, prime the system as instructed and inspect the threaded joint and hose connection for leakage before operating the engine. If leakage occurs, isolate the system and correct the joint. Retain the thread and hose specifications with the boat’s service information to make future replacement selection easier.
