Spring-coil motor support with plated steel tubing, U-shaped trailer end, padded V-shaped motor end and hooked rubber retaining strap.

An adjustable motor support spans the space between a suitable trailer chassis location and the outboard leg to help support the motor during road transport.

Choosing and using this product

Measure the required span with the boat correctly positioned on its trailer and the motor in its approved towing position. Confirm that the adjustment range reaches both contact points without forcing the motor higher or lower than intended. The stated horsepower range is only one selection factor; trailer geometry and engine instructions also matter.

The U-shaped end needs a sound chassis contact area, while the padded V-shaped end must bear at a suitable location on the motor leg. Avoid resting the support against fittings, cables, fragile covers or sharp edges. Check that the support remains clear of steering parts and other moving components throughout the intended towing arrangement.

Fit the retaining strap as directed and inspect its hooks and rubber before travelling. The support should remain seated without relying on excessive strap tension to correct a poor fit. Follow the boat, trailer and engine manufacturers’ advice on towing support, and do not assume that a transport bracket replaces the engine’s prescribed tilt or restraint procedure.

Recheck the contact points and strap after the first part of a journey and during routine stops. Remove the support before launching or operating the motor. Wash off road dirt and salt, inspect the spring and plated tubing, and store the bracket where the padding and rubber strap will not be crushed by heavier equipment.

Keep the product identification with the boat’s maintenance records and check the installation after the first use. If the intended arrangement differs from the supplied instructions, resolve the compatibility question before putting the equipment into service.
