Stainless Steel Marine Ratchet Rail-Mount Rod Holder for 22mm and 25mm Rails RWB1315
Stainless Steel Marine Ratchet Rail-Mount Rod Holder for 22mm and 25mm Rails
The RWB1315 is a heavy-duty polished stainless-steel rod holder supplied with a rail-mount clamp attachment bracket. Ratchet adjustment at the clamp allows the holder to be positioned at the desired angle on a compatible rail. The holder has lining, a plastic protective insert at the top and a gimbal in the base, bringing the mounting and rod-contact features together in one fitting.
Choosing and using this product
Measure the outside diameter of the intended rail before ordering. This holder is listed for 22mm and 25mm rails; do not assume it will clamp safely onto smaller, larger or non-round sections. Also check the rail supports and the way they are attached to the boat. The clamp fit and the strength of the supporting structure are separate considerations.
Trial-position the holder with the actual rod and reel. Check rod-tip clearance from the canopy and antennas, reel clearance from the rail, and room to remove the rod without striking other fittings. Keep the holder away from gates, folding rail sections and places where it would obstruct safe movement around the boat.
Set the angle with the rod unloaded and make sure the ratchet engagement is secure before use. Follow the fitting guidance supplied with the actual product for clamp assembly and tightening; no universal torque value should be assumed. Recheck for unwanted movement after initial use and at regular intervals. Keep the lining and top insert clean, rinse salt and grit out of the clamp area, and inspect the rail contact points. A rod tether may be useful, but it should not create a snagging hazard or substitute for a secure installation.
Keep the clamp adjustment accessible after choosing the final rail position.
