Marine Flush-Deck Mounting Socket for RWB2190 Adjustable ABS Rod Holder

The RWB2193 is the optional flush-deck mounting socket listed for the RWB2190 adjustable rod holder. It provides an alternative mounting component when a deck position better suits the layout than the standard side bracket. The socket is supplied as the separate accessory; the rod holder itself is not part of this item.

Choosing and using this product

Before choosing a deck location, check the space beneath the panel as well as above it. The socket needs clearance below its mounting surface, while the fitted holder and rod need a practical removal path overhead. Keep the proposed opening clear of wiring, plumbing and structural members. Use the actual component or a confirmed installation template to establish the cut-out and fastening pattern.

Match the accessory to the existing RWB2190 system before making changes to the boat. Compare the socket interface, insertion path and mounting position with the parts already fitted. Similar-looking holders from other ranges may use different engagement shapes or dimensions. Retaining the correct part number is a more dependable starting point than choosing a replacement by colour or appearance alone.

For installation, select fasteners and any backing to suit the boat material and access available at the mounting point. Check the area for concealed services before drilling. Trial-assemble the holder with the accessory first, and make sure the rod can be positioned without obstructing controls or a walkway. Do not use the holder as a grab handle or boarding aid.

Once fitted, check for movement at the mounting surface and confirm that the holder engages fully before loading it. Recheck the assembly after the first use and periodically thereafter. Rinse away salt, sand and bait residue, particularly around the socket where grit may interfere with seating. If a bracket or socket is cracked, distorted or loose, address the cause before using the rod holder again. Keep any removed components together so the system is ready for the next outing.
