Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Boat Rod and Game Pole Holder with Ratchet Mount

The RWB1316 is an all-stainless-steel rod and game-pole holder with a heavy-duty cast base and twin ratchet adjustment. Its adjustable mounting arrangement lets you change the rod position up or down and swivel it through 360 degrees, making it useful when different fishing positions call for different angles. A soft rubber insert lines the 45mm inside-diameter tube, while a gimbal is provided for a compatible rod butt.

Choosing and using this product

Choose the mounting position with the actual rod and reel in hand. Check how the reel sits beside the gunwale, whether the rod can be lifted out without hitting a canopy, and whether the chosen angle leaves room for nearby anglers. The 45mm figure is the tube inside diameter; it is not a base dimension or a fastening-hole measurement.

For installation, use a sound mounting surface and plan suitable support underneath it. Have the fastener selection and backing assessed for the boat construction and expected use. Trial-position the holder before making holes so both ratchets remain accessible. Set the desired position with the rod unloaded, seat the ratchet teeth properly and recheck the assembly before use. Do not treat the ability to swivel as permission to move a loaded rod abruptly.

Before each trip, check that the holder and its mounting remain secure, and inspect the contact surfaces for wear or trapped grit. Rinse salt and bait residue away with fresh water after use, then allow the fitting to dry. A separate rod tether is worth considering where losing a rod would be costly; keep any tether clear of controls and walkways. Match the rod butt to the holder rather than forcing a tight handle into the opening.
