The Manta RWB1998 uses a rounded bait-board layout for boats where a conventional rectangular station may be awkward to position. A 316-grade stainless steel station and heavy-duty stainless mounting collar attach to a ski pole or rail, with a stated maximum outside diameter of 51mm. Two angled stainless rod holders are included. The nylon cutting board has a 330mm inside diameter and a 30mm-high lip at the back, providing a distinct working area within the wider frame and rod-holder footprint.
Choosing and using this product
Measure the mounting tube and confirm collar fit, particularly if it is smaller than the stated 51mm maximum; a minimum clamp diameter is not published. Check that the tube and its supports suit the intended location. Use the 480 x 420mm overall measurements when assessing space, rather than the smaller inside board diameter. Trial-position the station with rods inserted so handles and reels clear the motor, rail fittings and boarding route. Choose a working height that allows controlled knife use and check that the mounting collar remains accessible for inspection and adjustment after the station is in place.
After use, clean bait residue from the cutting surface and rinse the frame and mounting points with fresh water. Pay attention to joints and areas beneath the board where salt and debris can collect. Inspect the mounting connection before each outing and after relocating the station. Keep sharp tools stowed when they are not being used, and assess whether rods or other loose equipment need separate restraint while travelling. For long-term care, use cleaning products appropriate for nylon and stainless steel and avoid leaving abrasive or corrosive residue on either surface.
