    ### Tridon 35-48mm Safety Collar Hose Clamp 12mm Band for Boat Water Plumbing

This Australian-made Tridon safety-collar worm-drive hose clamp is supplied individually and has a 35-48mm clamping range. The SMPC2AP model uses a stainless steel solid band measuring 12mm wide. A removable blue safety collar is included to help prevent screwdriver slip during tightening. The range identifies the outside diameter that the clamp fits around, so it should be checked against the hose after the hose has been placed over its fitting. The band width also needs to suit the available clamping area on that fitting. This listing is for one clamp; the ten-clamp box quantity is a packing quantity and should not be read as the quantity supplied by an individual item.

### Choosing and using this product

Measure the outside diameter of the assembled hose joint and compare it with the 35-48mm adjustment range. Do not select the clamp from hose internal diameter alone, because hose wall thickness and the fitting underneath affect the actual clamping diameter. Position the 12mm band squarely over a suitable supported section of hose, following the hose and fitting instructions for its location. Keep the blue collar correctly positioned when using it, and maintain clear access to the drive so the tool can engage securely. The collar can help guide the tool, but careful tool placement is still needed. Tighten according to the requirements of the hose, clamp and connected equipment; excessive force can damage a hose or distort a connection. Confirm that the materials and complete joint are suitable for the intended fluid, temperature and service conditions. Where more than one clamp is required by the installation instructions, select the quantity and spacing accordingly. Inspect the finished joint for correct seating and test for leakage using the procedure appropriate to the system. Retain access to check the clamp and hose periodically for loosening, damage or deterioration.
