    ### Marine Toggle Switch Replacement Rubber Boot - Brass Insert, 12mm Shaft

RWB2173 is a replacement rubber boot with a brass insert for a toggle switch with a 12mm shaft. It is supplied as the boot only. Consider this spare when the existing switch cover is damaged, worn or missing and the switch itself remains suitable for service. It provides a way to replace the cover as part of maintaining the control area.

### Choosing and using this product

The 12mm shaft compatibility is the key stated fit specification. Before ordering, identify the fitted switch and compare the existing boot and mounting arrangement with the replacement listing. If the dashboard has several similar toggles, check the particular switch being repaired rather than selecting by appearance alone. Inspect the surrounding mounting surface and switch condition at the same time.

A flexible cover is handled whenever the toggle is operated, so it is worth including in routine checks. Look for splits, cracking or distortion, especially around the area that moves with the lever. Also check whether the existing cover is seated correctly. If the control has become unreliable or shows evidence of water entry, have the electrical components assessed as well as replacing the damaged boot.

For fitting, isolate the relevant electrical supply and follow the switch manufacturer's servicing guidance. Arrange good access so the old cover can be removed without damaging the switch or disturbing nearby wiring. Check the replacement's seating and the brass insert engagement carefully, using the appropriate fitting method for the switch.

After installation, move the toggle through its complete operating travel and confirm that the boot allows normal movement without binding. Verify the circuit's intended operation under controlled conditions before returning it to regular use. Keep the switch clearly labelled and include the new cover in subsequent inspections. Recording the replacement part number alongside the fitted switch model makes future spare selection easier, particularly when several different switch styles are installed aboard.
