    ### Stainless Steel Marine Cigarette Lighter and Map Light - 12V, 16A

304 stainless steel lighter cover and base with stainless mounting plate and a switched mini chart light in the lighter head. Includes wire with crimped terminals.

### Choosing and using this product

This fitting combines a cigarette lighter with a small switched chart light in the lighter head. It is a useful consideration for a helm or chart area where a compact local light can assist with reading a paper chart or checking a small item nearby. The stainless mounting plate provides a defined face for the installation.

Plan the location around both access and the direction in which the mini light will be used. Keep it within comfortable reach, with enough space to handle the lighter head and operate the switch. A trial position near the intended reading surface can help assess whether the light arrangement suits the layout before committing to the mounting location.

Before fitting, confirm the 12V supply and allow space behind the panel for the base, supplied wire and connections. The 300mm lead length is a useful planning measurement when deciding where the boat wiring will join the fitting. Support that connection so it remains accessible and is not pulled by movement or nearby equipment.

As general electrical installation guidance, isolate the supply, check polarity and use suitable circuit protection and cable sizing for the intended circuit. Follow the fitting instructions for securing the base and connecting the crimped terminals. After installation, test the switch and light operation from the normal seated or standing helm position.

Keep the surrounding area clear of loose materials and use the lighter with care around flammable items. For ongoing maintenance, inspect the cable terminations and mounting security and keep the head and base clean. If the unit is removed during other dash work, label the wiring first so its connection can be checked accurately during reassembly.

Check that the chosen light position is comfortable to use from the normal chart-reading position.
