This courtesy light is suited to local illumination around a cockpit, stairway or cabin where a compact fitting is more useful than a high-output area lamp. Its low-profile appearance can be incorporated into an existing boat interior, while the shroud covers the fastening area for a tidy finish. Consider it as part of the access and comfort lighting layout, with the beam directed towards the surface that needs to be seen. The exact model’s mounting style, voltage and output should be checked together before matching it to another light.

### Choosing and using this product

Choose a location that reveals the step, passage or nearby surface without shining directly into the eyes of someone entering the space. When several lights are used, assess their spacing together to avoid isolated bright spots and unlit gaps. Check the rear of a recessed mounting surface for services and enough room to route the wiring. Use the actual fitting and instructions to establish the opening; the visible width is not a confirmed cut-out dimension. Fit the supplied seal correctly and avoid trapping wires when securing the shroud. The attached wiring still requires an appropriate protected connection, and the light needs a separate switch or suitable existing lighting circuit. Do not assume that visually similar versions share the same voltage range. After installation, test the arrangement in darkness from the normal helm and seating positions. Keep the light’s intended courtesy role in mind: its local illumination does not establish navigation-light approval or replace the boat’s required navigation lamps.
