Short Link Galvanised Chain - 8mm - Per Metre
This hot-dipped galvanised short-link chain is offered for anchor-windlass and mooring applications. The shorter link pattern is its defining feature, but selecting chain for a windlass also requires checking the particular gypsy and its chain specification.
This listing is for 8mm chain supplied as a cut length per metre. Work out the required length before ordering and check the connection hardware against this specific chain size.
Order the chain size and supply format you need
The supply format determines what you receive: a per-metre listing is a cut-length purchase, while a drum listing identifies the stated drum quantity. This distinction is useful whether you are replacing a short anchor section or preparing several chain assemblies. Work out the total requirement before comparing the available options.
Think through the complete route from anchor to rope termination or other connecting point. Each adjoining component needs to accommodate the actual chain links. When replacing chain, inspect the existing connectors at the same time and retain the selected chain size with your equipment records. Arrange stored chain so its condition and end connections remain easy to inspect.
Selection details
This chain is not calibrated. A matching nominal diameter does not establish windlass compatibility: confirm the required link dimensions before purchase. Choose the supply format and quantity to suit the installation, and check adjoining shackles or connectors as part of the complete chain arrangement.
When comparing drum and cut-length options, use the supply description for this product code as the ordering reference. Drum weight and chain diameter describe different aspects of the purchase and do not state the same thing as a measured chain length. Confirm the quantity required for the intended installation before choosing the supply format.
