    ### Self-Amalgamating Marine Rubber Sealing Tape - White, 19mm x 5m

RWB1111 provides a white self-bonding rubber wrap for suitable sealing and protective applications, including the hose, wiring and small fitting uses listed below.

Elastic self-bonding rubber tape for sealing leaking hoses, waterproofing electrical wiring and making grommets or washers.

### Choosing and using this product

This tape is a useful addition to an onboard repair kit for situations calling for an elastic, self-bonding wrap. Its listed applications cover hose leaks, electrical wiring protection and forming small grommets or washers. Keep a roll where it can be found readily with the tools and materials used for routine boat maintenance or practical temporary repairs.

Before use, assess the condition of the underlying hose, cable or fitting and decide whether wrapping is an appropriate response. Choose the repair method according to the equipment involved, its operating conditions and the manufacturer's instructions. For a hose problem, identify the source of the leak and address any damaged or loose components. For electrical work, isolate the circuit and inspect the conductors and insulation before applying a protective wrap.

The roll dimensions help with planning coverage, particularly when several layers or overlapping turns are required by the application instructions. Allow enough material to work beyond the immediate damaged area where appropriate. Prepare the surface and apply the tape following the product's directions for stretching and overlap, keeping the finished wrap clear of moving parts and service access points.

The stated temperature range should be checked against the location where the tape will be used. Consider nearby heat sources as well as the normal operating temperature of the item being wrapped. After a repair, inspect it under the relevant safe test procedure and include it in subsequent maintenance checks. Keep a record of temporary repairs so the underlying issue receives proper attention. Store the remaining roll with the boat's repair supplies, ready for the next suitable sealing or protective wrapping task.
